Does Your Sisterlocktician Wash Your Hair? + More
Hey yall hey! It’s time for a wash but I’m feeling extra lazy so I’m going to my sisterlocktician to have her wash my hair tomorrow. She always gets it extremely clean better than I can myself. Let’s just call this a nice, relaxing self-care treat for myself. I definitely have grown tired of my locs being straight so I want to do some type of style this week, whether that’s a braid out, pipe cleaner curls, or something new. I just need a change up. What I Use for Wash DayI've been loving these products for mature sisterlocks. My sisterlocktician also uses them too when I go to her. And if she doesn't have them, I bring them to her to use.

- I have very large pores on my nose and upper cheeks and so I have been using the Josie Maran Pineapple Enzyme Pore Clearing Cleanser to help minimize the size of my pores and also help keep them clean.
- I love me a good nude lip, but when I want a pop of color but not too much color, I go for the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Ultra-Comfort Transfer-proof Lipstick. It is matte so it lasts a while and I pair it with the Mac Lip Liner in Chestnut to give it an ombre look. Super cute.
- I never even knew about creme blush and had been using only powder blush for the longest. One thing I've always hated about powder brush is that it always seemed to disappear from my face throughout the day. Well ever since I started pairing both the Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush and the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush together, my blush color stays on and does not leave.
- Do yall use setting powder with your concealer? Ever since I went to a 1:1 makeup class, I've been loving using the Laura Mercier Ultra-Blur Talc-Free Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Haus Labs Bio-Blurring Talc-Free Loose Setting Powder with my concealer from Anastasia Beverly Hills. They go together like magic and they create a flawless finish.
- I converted from being a powder foundation girly to a liquid foundation girly and haven't looked back since. Of course I love using my girl RiRi's Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation and also her Pro Filt'r Hydrating Primer.
Gel X NailsYall better come get some of these. What's that? It's Gel X Nails and I'm in LOVE with them. I had my previous set removed because they can't do fills at the moment, and I got a new set done. How cute are these cheetah print and mint colored nails? Perfect for the spring. If you’re in Indiana go to Crown Lounge in Fishers and ask for "KC", she’s the bomb. |

Work'n On My FitnessI've been switching things up a bit to fit in alignment with my fitness goals and recently started trying pilates on the reformer. I love it because it's slower and not as intense but it gives a good burn and gets the job done. I also like how it stretches my neck and back which have been problem areas for me. Pilates helps improve your posture, strength, mental health, breathing, flexibility, and more. Have you tried pilates? |
Hello Fresh ReviewI gave Hello Fresh a try last week and I'm impressed by how convenient they are. My biggest problem has always been picking out what to eat and then having to figure out which ingredients I need and then having to go get the ingredients, etc. What I love about Hello Fresh is that it helped me cut down on the amount of decisions I had to make so I could focus more on cooking quicker. I just dumped the pre-assembled meal ingredients out of the bag and followed the cooking instructions and was left with a fabulous, delicious meal for both my husband and I to enjoy. I'll be continuing to order 3 of their meals weekly.

My Life Has Changed With this DysonYall, the cleaning freedom that I'm getting from having this cordless Dyson is unexplainable. I can vacuum all over my house and even outside on the patio in 30 mins or less. Lugging up that cord everywhere, getting tangled in it, and always having to find a close outlet is not on my agenda anymore. Stress-free cordless vacuuming is where it's at! I'm hooked. It's definitely worth the price.

We had some changes and are getting ourselves prepared to bring back Sisterlocks Speaks for yall, a positive and open community for locked sistas to come together and chat about our locd journeys.
