Loc Appreciation Shirts

Having some loc t-shirts to wear throughout your loc journey can can be beneficial for several reasons.

1) Representation: Wearing loc t-shirts shows pride in your locs and represents the loc community. It can also help to break down stereotypes and misconceptions about locs.

2) Inspiration: Seeing others wearing loc t-shirts can be inspiring and motivating for someone on their loc journey. It can also be a conversation starter and a way to connect with other people who have locs.

3) Support Black Businesses: Many of the loc apparel businesses are black owned. So when you buy from them you are pouring back into the black community and supporting them.

Overall, having some loc t-shirts to wear can be a fun and practical way to show love for your locs and connect with others in the loc community. Which ones are your faves?

Earlier this week, I shared that I was in the hair product aisle at the grocery store grabbing some Pantene heat protectant. I shared a poll on my IG stories asking yall to guess what I'm trying next on my locs. Nobody answered it correctly hahah.

Next week, I'm trying out a new way to DRY my locs. So stay tuned. I'll be sharing some sponsored content with you all showing you exactly how to dry your locs faster! So make sure yall show up and show out in the comments section when you see it. Thanks in advance! <3

Poppi: Gut Health Soda

Yall, I cannot rant and rave enough about how good this healthy soda is. It has 5g sugar, apple cider vinegar in it, and you can't even tell! It's that good. So if you are looking for a way to replace soda with a healthier soda alternative, give these a try. You can also use them to make cocktails or mocktails too and they are still so good. Poppi sent me some more flavors to try this week and I'm LOVING the watermelon flavor, you have to try it.

Carol's Daughter Wash Day Delight: Lighweight Summer Shampoo

You might have seen me talk about this lightweight summer shampoo in my "come get a retie with me" reels here. Both my sisterlocktician and I love it for the summer. It smells amazing, it has a great applicator to apply directly to the scalp, and it feels good. It gets the hair clean and leaves your hair feeling fresh.

Pound of Ground Beef Crumbles

This is a game changer for those who are lazy cookers like me. I recently found these pound of ground beef crumbles at Kroger and I bought a couple packs to use for things like tacos, spaghetti, etc. The thing I LOVE about them the most is that they are frozen. So you don't have to unthaw them at all. You just dump them from the package to the pan. So on those days when you forget to unthaw the meat, these are your life saver to have stocked up in your freezer so you can just pull them out and cook immediately. I'm in love. Watch me make some tacos using the crumbles here.

June Favorites

Portable Cordless Menstrual Heating Pad

If you saw on my IG Stories earlier this week, I had mentioned that I was experiencing some cramping. This portable electric heating pad has been saving my life this past week. You can wrap it around your waist and it targets heat directly to your menstrual area. It also has a massage feature on it too.

Thyroid Healing Book: Medican Medium

A couple weeks ago I went to the endocronologist doctor to get my enlarged thyroid checked out. Thankfully he said he didn't think I needed to be on medication and I don't need a biopsy. He does want to see me back after I have the baby though to check my levels again and do another ultrasound to see if the thyroid has changed.

During this health journey I learned that my family has a history of thyroid issues. My grandmother had hers removed because her thyroid grew too large and interfered with her throat. A few of my aunts also have had issues with their thyroids.

So I'm reading this Thyroid Healing book from one of my favorite collections, Medical Medium, to try to learn about what I can do to prevent my thyroid from getting larger. I also had a few people reach out to me on IG who shared that they too have had issues with their thyroid so I figured I share this book in case it can help others.

Tennis/Golf Dress

It's summer time and I know some of yall are out getting your Serena Williams on 🎾. So I wanted to share this cute active dress I found that can be great for a tennis or golf outing. It's super comfortable and it comes with a separate pair of shorts to wear underneath.

KONG Floppy Knots Fox: Dog Toy

So if you have hard chewer dogs like me who tear up every toy in a matter of minutes, then you'll be happy to know that this toy lasts pretty well and can handle the beat down that the dogs give it. It is a KONG toy so it's made with tough quality materials. My dogs love these and I love them too because it keeps my dogs busy.

I finished releasing the 5 basement construction progress reels videos on my IG page. If you haven't seen them go check them out.

I would greatly appreciate your support as it helps me lock on more sponsorships to share great quality products with you. Thanks in advance!

This week I hit 19 weeks yall! I'm still in shock that I'm literally almost half way through this pregnancy. WOW. Next week I have my 20 week appointment with my midwife. This includes the anatomy scan and finding out the gender. Now, I won't be looking at the gender yet, I'm giving it to my friend to hold on to until we have our gender reveal. What do you think I'll have? A boy or a girl? Either way, I'll be happy with a healthy baby.

I'm not gonna lie, this week has been rough for me. I mentioned in my IG stories earlier that I had been having some trouble with cramping. I think the baby was having a growth spirt. First I started noticing flutters and kicks for the first time which was amazing! But....it was also followed up with major period cramps. No bleeding, thank God, but it scared me and had me feeling like I was going into early labor. I think the baby was kicking my fibroids (I have two on either side of the baby).

So I contacted my doula and my midwife and they instructed me to use a heating pad, drink lots of water, and they approved me to take Tylenol. But girl, those Tylenols was barely putting a dent in it. It was a struggle getting through those cramps. It lasted about 4-5 days all day every day from the time I went to sleep to the time I opened my eyes in the morning.

I prayed so hard asking God to heal me and take this pain away and I can say right now as I am writing this, I have not had the cramps anymore at all today and I did not have to take any Tylenol. Praise the Lord!

17K Giveaway is coming up soon, I’ll share the date with you here first. Since you are part of my VIP email subscribers, you will be automatically entered into the giveaway. So you won’t have to do anything to enter. Yay!
