Vacay Time, Planning my first trip to Miami!
Where are we going? Miami, FL
Why did we pick Miami? We both have never been to Miami before and we wanted to create a brand new experience for both of us. Miami has great weather, entertainment, and is a nice get-a-way spot.
Did I use a travel agent to help me plan my trip? No, my husband planned it by himself. But I do plan on using a travel agent for our 5 year anniversary trip later on this year.
Do I know of any good travel agents? Yes, one of my sisterlock sista friends is a travel agent. Her travel business is called Travertine Global Vacations Brink10k.com She is available to book any experiences in the U.S and abroad to include trip packages, excursions, sports events, concerts and golf outings.
Any tips for planning a vacation this year?
Tip #1. Use an AMEX Hilton Honors card to pay for all your bookings and vacation spending so you can get the rewards points. The points will give you free hotels and you can use the points for other things like car rentals, etc. We got our entire 4-night hotel stay for free.
Tip #2. Create an Excel spreadsheet to plan and keep track of all of your trip details. Make an itinerary so you know what you will be doing each day.
Tip #3. Book your trip and make reservations well in advance. You should be making plans at least 3-4 weeks in advance. The more in advance the better.
Tip #4. Find cool, trendy things to do and places to eat at on Tik Tok, the Out of Office app, and Instagram.
